Going on a sailing adventure means freedom. You can charter a boat and explore many different islands and bays. And even better, this is the best way to maximise your time on the water! This itinerary is perfect for those looking for an adventure in the Caribbean for 2 weeks, we’ll go into all the best islands to go to.
Days 1-2: Antigua
Antigua is a great place to start because it has a lot of secluded anchorages and beaches. It also has a historic site that you might want to check out: Nelson’s Dockyard. This is the 18th-century Caribbean base of the British Royal Navy’s. Now it is home to Antigua’s sailing and yachting events.
Day 3: Nevis
It takes around 4.5 hours cruise time to get to Nevis from Antigua. It is a small and scenic place that is dominated by the Nevis Peak volcano, and most importantly it has not been bombarded with mass tourism yet. It is also the birthplace of Alexander Hamilton.
Day 5: St. Kitts
To get to St. Kitts from Nevis, it’ll take you around 1 hour. This one you definitely don’t want to miss because it is one of the most tranquil, untouched and magical islands in the Caribbean. Most of the island is made up of national parks with mountain ranges and rainforests. If you want an adventure, you can go on a hiking mission on the Liamuiga volcano or take it easy exploring all of the beautiful nature this island has to offer!
Day 6: Saba
The cruise time from St. Kitts to Saba is 3.5 hours. This island is tiny, only 5 square miles and mainly occupied by the Mount Scenery volcano which is dormant. This place is beautiful both on land and under the water. Beautiful greenery & wildlife on land, but also a thriving sea life. Definitely go on a dive where you will discover gorgeous coral reefs, underwater mountains, sharks, turtles, and dolphins.
Day 7-8: St. Barts
It takes around 2.5 hours cruising from Saba to St. Barts. When you arrive in St. Barts by boat, you’ll immediately be in the middle of the town, which is where all the action is! You should spend 2 days here, exploring the island. Here you can explore the beaches, restaurants, spas, and shop till you drop! Of course, you can also go hiking, diving, and do plenty of water sports if that’s more your wave!
